Calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to issue a code of practice setting out a minimum standard for wifi connections provided by public authorities to members of the public; and to urge all Scottish public authorities to provide wifi connections that meet this standard in all their public buildings.

5 August 2014: The Committee took evidence from James Macfarlane. The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government, the Scottish Court Service, Aberdeen City Council, Glasgow City Council, the City of Edinburgh Council, Highland Council, Scottish Borders Council, a number of NHS boards and a number of Business Improvement Districts. 11 November 2014: The Committee agreed to defer consideration of the petition to its next meeting.

25 November 2014: The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government. Link to Official Report 25 November 2014
