Date Lodged: 29 July 2020

Calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to implement regulations on the ownership and use of residential trampolines.

29 October 2020: The Committee agreed to write to the Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning. The Committee also agreed to write to Scottish Gymnastics. Link to Official Report of Meeting 29 October 2020

16 December 2020: The Committee agreed to close the petition under Rule 15.7 of Standing Orders on the basis that the Scottish Government has no plans to extend the requirement for planning permission to trampolines or to introduce a system of licensing for them; and local authorities already have a duty to investigate complaints about noise, conducted by trained environmental health officers, under the provisions of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
