SB 12-68 Aquaculture and Fisheries (Scotland) Bill

The Aquaculture and Fisheries (Scotland) Bill was introduced in the Scottish Parliament by Richard Lochhead MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment. The Bill makes changes to the law on fish farming and shellfish farming. New requirements for the management of freshwater fisheries are introduced. Changes are made to sea fisheries laws and rules on shellfish waters. Fixed penalty notices for offences under certain aquaculture, fisheries and other marine legislation are included as well as powers to introduce a charging regime.
