Motions and amendments are normally printed the day after they are lodged. If an amendment is lodged to a motion then the original motion will appear alongside the amendment, along with any support lodged that day, in this section.
Each Monday, this section also contains all motions and amendments lodged the previous week that are still live and any motions and amendments that have been lodged for debate in the coming week. A motion or amendment is live if it has not been debated, withdrawn or otherwise deleted from the list.
Where a motion or amendment has been withdrawn, it is indicated in this section the day after it has been withdrawn. Support for motions and amendments received after they are lodged is shown at the end of this section the day after such support is received.
Motions and amendments can be published with various symbols
- Asterisks before the motion or amendment number indicate a motion or amendment published for the first time
- Asterisks also identify alterations to the text of a motion or amendment made since it was first published
- A hash symbol identifies motions eligible for debate at Members’ Business
- A diamond symbol identifies motions lodged for Members’ Business that have not yet attracted the required cross-party support
- An "R", identifies motions or amendments in which the Member who lodged it has a registrable interest.
The Parliamentary Bureau periodically deletes motions or amendments not scheduled for debate and which are over six weeks old.
Any questions in relation to this section should be directed to the Chamber Desk

Scotland, has secured a change in the law to ensure that young people can remain in care until the age of 21 instead of 16 as before; congratulates Mr McDonald on his intention to keep campaigning for the rights of young people in care, and wishes him well in his future endeavours.

*S4M-10041 Jackie Baillie: End the Awkward Campaign—That the Parliament welcomes the End the Awkward campaign, launched by the UK disability charity, Scope, in order to encourage social interaction and more natural communication with disabled people; believes that there are more than 11 million disabled people in the UK and that, according to a survey, two out of three people feel uncomfortable talking to someone who is disabled; understands that only half of the disabled people in the UK have jobs because of the wrong assumption being made that they are not intelligent enough or might upset and frustrate other members of staff, despite the fact that the collective disposable income of disabled people in the UK is worth more than £80 billion a year; notes with concern that 22% of disabled women and 11% of disabled men earn less than their non-disabled counterparts; recognises that Scope has launched a TV advertising campaign aimed at encouraging non-disabled people to behave normally around disabled people; understands that the End the Awkward campaign includes tips and guides from disabled people on how to communicate with them, and supports Scope in its endeavour to encourage a more natural communication between disabled and non-disabled people.

*S4M-10039 Jackie Baillie: Severe Funding Cut for Show Racism the Red Card—That the Parliament notes with concern the significant reduction of funding for Show Racism the Red Card (SRTRC) and its anti-sectarianism strand, Show Bigotry the Red Card (SBTRC), from £120,000 in 2011-12 to £40,000 in 2014-15; understands that this cut was not agreed with the charity despite the answer to parliamentary question S4W-20199 on 7 April 2014 stating otherwise; believes that the cut was only agreed after negotiation that other funds would be made available, which has not happened; understands that, with the significant financial pressure being placed upon it, the charity is currently unable to fill a key post, which has had a severe impact on the services it provides; believes that the work of SRTRC is vital in tackling racism and sectarianism; understands that, of SRTRC and SBTRC participants who admitted to using sectarian or racist behaviour in the past, 70.5% said they would not do so again and that 90.6% of participants said that they would report incidents thanks to the charity’s input, and calls on the Scottish Government to reinstate financial support to SRTRC to 2011-12 levels to allow it to continue to deliver its essential education and campaign work against racism and sectarianism in Scottish communities.
