The Justice Committee is considering issues relating to the prosecution of elder abuse in Scotland. The Committee will gather written and oral evidence on this issue in February 2019 and then consider what further action, if any, it wishes to take.

On 22 March 2019, the Justice Committee wrote to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice, setting out the evidence it had received, and asking what action the Scottish Government plans to take to address the prosecution of elder abuse in Scotland-
