Report and further work

The Working Group reported its findings to the Committee in February 2020. The Committee considered the report and, in light of that review, published a report in November 2020 which recommended the Presiding Officer's determination for an SLC Bill is revised from the beginning of Session 6.

The Committee wrote to the Presiding Officer and the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee. In December 2020, the Presiding Officer wrote to the SPPA Committee inviting it to examine the findings of the DPLR Committee’s report.

The Convener gave evidence to the SPPA Committee on Thursday 14 January 2021. The SPPA Committee considered the DPLR Committee’s review in the context of the Standing Order Rule and wrote to the Presiding Officer to confirm that it was content with the revised determination.

A revised determination was published in the Business Bulletin on Tuesday 23 March 2021.
