Remit:
To consider and report on health policy, the NHS in Scotland, anti poverty measures, equalities, sport and other matters falling within the responsibility of the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Wellbeing and Cities Strategy apart from those covered by the remit of the Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee.

The Committee reports to the Parliament as follows—
1. The London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (Advertising and Trading) (Scotland) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/draft) was laid before the Parliament on 10 November 2011. The Order was subject to the affirmative procedure.
2. The purpose of the Regulations is to control advertising and trading activity in a designated area in Glasgow in respect of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games events at Hampden Park during the period when those events take place.
3. At its 18th meeting 2011, held on 13 December 2011, the Health and Sport Committee considered the Regulations.
4. The Committee noted that the Subordinate Legislation Committee had not made any comments on the instrument.1
5. The Committee took evidence on the instrument from the Minister for Commonwealth Games and Sport, Shona Robison MSP.
6. The Minister for Commonwealth Games and Sport moved motion S4M-01536–
That the Health and Sport Committee recommends that the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (Advertising and Trading) (Scotland) Regulations 2011 [draft] be approved.
7. The motion was agreed to.
