Evidence Session on Social Enterprises

The Committee agreed to hold a roundtable evidence session with a cross-section of social entrepreneurs to explore key issues affecting social enterprises.

"Social enterprises are innovative, independent businesses that exist to deliver a specific social and/or environmental mission." (Social Enterprise Scotland 2014)

A roundtable evidence session with social entrepreneurs took place on Wednesday 6 August 2014 and the Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government asking for an update on policies in support of social enterprises.
