The Equality Bill is currently under consideration in the UK Parliament. It was introduced in the House of Commons on 24 April 2009. In accordance with Standing Orders, Rule 9B.3.1.(a), a legislative consent memorandum (LCM) in relation to the Bill was lodged by the Scottish Government on 7 May 2009. The LCM can be found on the Parliament’s website. On 12 May 2009, the Parliamentary Bureau referred the LCM to the Equal Opportunities Committee.
