Scotland Act 2016: audit and accountability arrangements

The session 4 Public Audit Committee undertook work on what was, at that point, the proposed devolution of further powers to the Scottish Parliament. In June 2015, the Committee published a report on the audit and accountability arrangements contained in the Scotland Bill 2015 as introduced.   

The Scotland Act 2016 was subsequently passed by the UK Parliament.

The Committee received an update from Scottish Government officials on the progress made in establishing appropriate audit and accountability arrangements under the Act. The panel also heard evidence from the Auditor General for Scotland and Audit Scotland.
