Pre-Budget Scrutiny 2021-22

About the Inquiry

At the start of the Parliamentary Session, the Committee agreed to adopt a full year budgeting approach, building an element of budget scrutiny into all aspects of its work, as detailed in its 2nd report, 2016 (Session 5) Health and Social Care Integration Budgets.

The Health and Sport Committee of the Scottish Parliament scrutinises the spending of approximately 50% of the Scottish Budget.  The Committee has agreed to undertake pre-budget scrutiny of the 2021-22 budget while considering the impact of COVID-19 on the Health and Social Care 20/21 settlement.  The Committee intends to take evidence from relevant bodies in August and September.
