Sara Brennan, Broken Linen Line, 2006

This work draws its inspiration from the landscape and the artist's interest in the horizon and its changing appearance due to varying weather conditions. Her work very deliberately involves the use of a restricted palette of colours and simplified form, leading to the creation of restrained works. She often uses old yarns in her work, for example where she has been able to source from disused Victorian textile mills.
