The Royal Mail issued a commemorative stamp within 5 days when any British athlete won a gold medal.
The stamps featured a picture of their moment of triumph and were on display at the Scottish Parliament until 1 October 2012.
The display showcased all of the stamps issued to recognise the achievements of every Team GB gold-medal winner during the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games.
This was the first time any host country has used action shots for Gold Medal stamps and issued them immediately during the Olympic Games.
